Creating 30 Extra Covers with a Custom Commercial Awning in Liverpool

Here’s how we helped a busy Liverpool café unlock more revenue, without disrupting trade.

Our team recently completed one of the most technically challenging commercial awning installations of 2025, an 11-metre wide, 3-metre projection automatic awning installed onto a curved façade in the heart of Liverpool city centre.

The brief was simple, create a high-quality covered outdoor space that would maximise seating capacity, without disrupting day-to-day trading in a busy public area.

Due to the location of the work and the fact the customer wanted minimum disruption to the business, the team arrived onside at 5am on a very cold November morning in Liverpool.

Working in public areas within city centres we need to ensure that we cordon off a suitable workspace for the team. The aura team delivered this job with a team 6 onsite.

The nature of the curved wall was a challenging install. We needed to make sure that the awning was perfectly straight, and the custom brackets that we fabricated we all measured to the millimetre to give us the perfect straight line fix.

This unit included LED lighting in the 4 arms, providing the customer with flexible useable lights underneath the canopy.

The finished installation now provides a fully covered, LED-lit outdoor area, creating space for approximately 30 additional covers, allowing the business to trade confidently in changeable weather and maximise revenue from their outdoor seating year-round.
